Man Tries To Mug Woman Who Turned Out To Be A UFC Fighter And Gets Beaten Senseless
In a surprising turn of events an unfortunate thief in Rio de Janeiro while trying to rob a woman got knocked himself down by the lady. The woman turned out to be Polyana Viana, a UFC strawweight fighter.
Apparently, a man approached her while she was waiting for her Uber outside her apartment building in the West Zone of Rio. Polyana mentioned that the man seemed sneaky as he had approached very close when she noticed her.
Describing the series of events Polyana said, “When he saw I saw him, he sat next to me, asked me the time. I said it, but noticed he wasn’t going to leave. So, I already moved to put my cell phone in my waist.
And then he said, ‘Give me the phone. Don’t try to react, because I’m armed.’ Then he put his hand over (a gun), but I realised it was too soft. He was really close to me. So, I thought, ‘If it’s a gun, he won’t have time to draw it.’ So, I stood up and threw two punches and a kick. He fell, and then I caught him in a rear naked choke. Then I sat him down in the same place we were before and said, ‘Now we’ll wait for the police.’”
Apparently, the gun that the thug was using to threaten Polyana was nothing, but a cardboard roughly cut in the shape of a dummy gun.
Polyana asked the passers by to call the cops while she held the goon in an arm lock. The robber made repeated pleas to let him go.
“He told me to let him go, like ‘I just asked for the time.’ I said, ‘Asked for the time my ass,’ because he saw I was very angry,” said the UFC fighter. “I said I wouldn’t let go and that I was going to call the police. He said, ‘call the police, then’ because he was scared that I was going to beat him up more,” she added.
The thief was taken to the hospital for treatment before he was taken to the police station.
Polyana went back home safe. She said that her hands hurt a little next day but it was passable.

Lucky it's the usa I defended myself from attack now have 2 go to court for the attacker pressing charges self defence dissent count in the uk
ReplyDeleteCongrats, you couldn't even read the first sentence of the article...
DeleteLMAO!
Deleteit was in Brazil moron
DeleteLol. And this is the problem in the world. People don't read the article and yet go ahead to quickly respond. Or they read the "front page" of things and ignore the rest. Its like being that guy on Jeopardy who clicks his buzzer before the question was read fully or the guy who does a book report after reading only the summary on the back of the book.
Deletethe OP got the country wrong, but the fact remains that self-defense is illegal in the united kingdom. people go to jail for defending themselves from attackers there.
DeleteI am sorry for your plight Marcellus. Even though this occurred in Brazil. I hope and pray you come out on top in court. Hopefully, you guys can take the UK back for the people. They've disarmed you and allowed mass migration of people that don't want to assimilate to your way of life. Here in the states we are fighting the mass migration problem but being met with resistance from the Socialist party which also is pushing to disarm us at the same time. They due this to cause chaos so they can be the only answer. We real Americans aren't falling for it.
DeleteIn the UK, what are you supposed to, let an attacker kill or maim you at his leisure?
DeleteWhen was self-defense abolished in the UK?
DeleteSelf defence is fully legal in the UK. The law states that as long as reasonable force is used, up to and including the result being death of the suspect should they pose a sufficient threat to life, you're protected from prosecution but you might have to prove to the courts why your actions would be classed as self defence
DeleteI think Marcellus was talking about a problem he had
DeleteAbsolute nonsense that self defence is abolished in the UK. It runs alongside another law called Reasonable Response. Which states you can defend yourself to a degree to get yourself to safety. Meaning that snapping someone's neck because they try to grab you, is illegal. Breaking their nose or knocking them out, isn't against the law.
Deleteyou can still go after the individual who defended themselves in what is called civil court. it is different than criminal court. example, my cousin broke into this guys house several years ago and was shot at as well as the mans dog attacked and bit him. he was arrested and given a year in the county jail, However that was criminal and he sued the guy in civil court. long story short he won and the man had to pay his medical expenses as well as 30k for mental and emotional trauma from the dog bite AND the court ordered the dog be put down. There is always a price to pay, even if your defending yourself. love civil court lol.
DeleteIf that clown tried that where I live he would most likely be shot in his grimey face and left to die.
DeleteHOW can a person not be allowed to defend themselves? I don't understand that. That doesn't make sense. You're just supposed to sit/stand there and let someone harm you? Hell, no. I'm going to jail then.
DeleteHe obviously was not a very good shot. When the intruder broke in and had that kitchen knife and approached the owner and was then shot several times and was killed, it was self defense. I'm sure if the intruder was alive he would back up the owners obviously true story.
Delete"and the dog had to be put down" - I'm callin' bullshit on the whole story. Shoulda left that part out, it might have passed for legit.
DeleteTHANK YOU!!!!
Delete😎😎
ReplyDelete"She said that her hands hurt a little next day but it was passable." LMAO
ReplyDeleteIf her fingers were taped up and she had gloves on, the perp would have gotten a real beat down.
Deletewell done that women... but she should have "accidentally' destroyed his testicles with a couple of devastating punches... relieved him of all that irksome testosterone!
ReplyDelete😂
Deletethat would be extremely illegal
DeleteSo is robbing someone :D
DeleteYeah. Get him out of the gene pool.
DeleteHilarious...Couple Testicle Blows....
DeletePetty robbery is in the end an act of utter desperation.
ReplyDeleteThere is a huge difference between just stealing and threatening someone with a gun.
DeleteWomen don't have the luxury of thinking of that in the moment in any case. When we take too long to make judgements like that, we wind up raped and murdered.
DeleteThe "egngerish" not the author's strong suit... I'm not talking about the quotes but the non quotes writing. I hope this whole artical was translated from portugese.
ReplyDelete"articql"
DeleteOh, the irony...
DeleteI would like for her to attenuate all that fury to 10% of maximum then climb all over my ASCII
ReplyDeleteThank you lady for kicking his ass and I bet you his senseless attacks on women are definitely over with. He got all he deserved and more...Hahaha
ReplyDeleteMost definitely👏👏👏😂😂
DeleteSelf defence is absolutely not illegal in the UK - you are permitted to use “reasonable force” to prevent a crime or make an arrest.
ReplyDeleteLikewise homeowners are protected from prosecution as long as they act "honestly and instinctively" in the heat of the moment.
The most famous case in the UK was a farmer who shot a burglar in the back as they were fleeing his property. He was rightly convicted of murder - someone stealing your TV doesn’t warrant their death. Had the attacker tried to fight the farmer, then the farmer could have shot him and pleaded self defence.
Thank you for that reasonable explanation.
Deleteyou can still go after someone in civil court however
DeleteIt's always a bit tricky to justify shooting a fleeing person in the back as self-defense 😆
DeleteI donot care what anyones says. She defended herself being in the US or UK or Batland ..who gives a crap! He deserved that as- whipping.
ReplyDeleteI don’t get it why people luv the share old stuff this happened already in brazil.
ReplyDeleteYeh. Back in January.
DeleteShe handled it lightly. Someone else would of shot him
ReplyDeleteReading is fundamental. How could he not comprehend UFC on her chest and waist. duh'
ReplyDeleteprobably because that is a stock photo and she probably wasn't wearing UFC gear at the time... reading is fundamental but without logic, deduction and comprehension you're just stringing together some random words
DeleteRDP, what makes you think that's what she was wearing at the time? Lol Jeez are people SERIOUSLY that narrow minded? Ummm YEAH unfortunately.
DeleteRDP, you're not the sharpest tool in the shed are you? lol
DeleteReading may be fundamental, but do you seriously believe that she was wearing her UFC fighting
ReplyDeletegear at the time of the mugging?
Now that was funny! I wonder what he told his cell mate he was in jail for!?!?!? LMAO!
ReplyDeleteThe fact that I was looking to take a trip to the UK with my girlfriend at some point and then saw this thread. Nope. Good luck THAT.
ReplyDeleteGood people will flee and bad guys will continue to pour in to rape and kill you. What a pathetic bunch of weaklings to allow that to happen to your own country.
I guess that’s why though. All the people with strong/brave genes left to come to America and that’s what your left with. Sad.
Good call. You would be raped and your girlfriend beaten the crap out. Stay out of UK.
DeleteI agree. If you get weeds in your flower garden, do you stop them from growing, or let them kill your plants? Same with this. You don't stop people like this then they will continue to harm others. Including your loved ones. They obviously don't discriminate.
DeleteNo one wants to come to your retarded country anyway unless they want to hang out with a bunch of pansies.
ReplyDeleteI find it funny looking at these comments where people are defending a guy who claimed to have a gun and meant to harm someone. If you think you are hardcore, then you deserve to be beaten by the person you threatened. To sue someone for your own stupidity is an act of a coward and a person who has no honor. To those who think self defense is wrong, what would you do? Get victimized by the offender and risk injury or death? I don't think so.
ReplyDeleteThe harsh reality is that his “crime” was verbalized and technically it’s her word against his. He could stick to the “i just asked for the time” defense and have a pretty good chance of not only getting away with his attempt... but also sue her for injuries. (In the US anyway, not sure about Brazil) Hopefully he had prior Crimes and/or the gun cutout helps in her defense.
