Billionaire who cleared student loans begins paid internship for needy students

Robert F. Smith, a U.S. billionaire, has launched an internship program for underprivileged students. Dubbed ‘InternX’, the program will see colored students bagging internships in STEM fields. What’s more, the internships will all be paid ones!

Earlier, Smith was known to settle student debts for university graduates. That’s when he first made headlines.

In May 2019, the kind tycoon settled college debts for students of Morehouse College amounting to KSh 4 billion ($30 million).

On Morehouse Graduation day, Smith delivered a speech, saying, “You great Morehouse men are bound only by the limits of your conviction and creativity.”

AT&T, Deloitte, CitiGroup, PriceWaterHouseCoopers, and other companies are participating in this revolutionary move of Smith’s to launch InternX, Fox 5 reported.

Everyone was caught by surprise and touched at the philanthropist’s announcement. It was received with tremendous rounds of applause and admiration for Smith’s kind heart.

Even the online community didn’t hesitate to sing his praise. They all wished that every other billionaire follows in Smith’s footsteps.

Seems like the rich have finally begun to take notice of the poor! The rich are trying to help the needy slowly climb the ladder towards prosperity, while the rich themselves are slowly climbing the ladder towards glory.
