McDonald’s Fries Could Cure Baldness, According to New Study

Are you one of those who adore fries and can’t help themselves every time they pass through a McDonald’s outlet? Have you been led to believe that your addiction to fries is nothing but a way to add to your weight? Believe it or not, all of that is about to change, because now you can conclusively say that they were wrong. Ascientist from Japan has figured out that consuming fries from McDonald’s can successfully help in the regeneration of hair.

The scientist believes that there’s a chemical found in the fries that assist in hair regrowth. During its animal trials, scientists had managed to figure out a “simple way” of hair regrowth on mice by using human stem cells which in turn generated fresh follicles which were capable of growing new hair. TO their surprise, the mice under observation started growing new hair and in almost no time they had furry backs and full scalps. This success got them thinking whether this technique could work on human beings on not. A team of Japanese scientists had their first breakthrough after a long time when they managed to produce “hair follicle germs” in their labs. This kind of constructive progression in the field of hair loss research was hitherto unheard of, and since these germs were consistent in hair regeneration, they were regarded to as the “Holy Grail” in this field of research.

Scientist have figured out that the chemical that is found in fries, which is called dimethylpolysiloxane, is used by McDonald’s in order to prevent the cooking oil from foaming as a bid to ensure safety protocols. This very chemical is being remastered by the scientists in their labs in an attempt to solve the worldwide issue of hair loss. The preliminary tests were conducted by using an oxygen-permeable dimethylpolysiloxane at the bottom of a culture vessel which worked out pretty well. This success has paved the way for more tests and studies in a sector that sees a money flow of billions of pounds every year, all to no avail. The new progress fills the hearts of the scientists with hope and they believe that this simple method will be a robust and full-proof solution to hair loss problems such as the androgenic alopecia (male pattern baldness).

New development in this field suggested that self-sorted hair follicle germs (ssHFGs) were capable of efficient shaft and hair-follicle generation when injected into the backs of nude mice. This result facilitated the large-scale preparation of around 5000 ssHFGs in a microwell-array chip constructed of oxygen-permeable silicone. It is believed that the simple ssHFG preparation is a positive strategy for improving the present hair-regenerative medicine techniques. Such wonders in the field of medicine really get us wondering as to how far the coalescing of technology and the human mind can bring to the plate. We just hope that whatever they are, they’ll continue to benefit humankind as a whole.
